“Friday Night Flicks” to be Held in Nocatee Community Park

Jacksonville, FL – October 9, 2009 – Nocatee will be hosting “Friday Night Flicks”, a free movie series to be held in its Community Park during the fall season. Weekly outdoor screenings are scheduled to run October 30 to December 4, with no flick scheduled during Thanksgiving weekend.

Beginning promptly at 8 p.m. each Friday, the newly opened Nocatee Community Park will be transformed into a neighborhood theater offering a great selection of family-friendly movies. Open to the public, guests are invited to bring beach chairs and blankets for a relaxing evening under the stars.

“With the tremendous turnout we regularly have for Nocatee events, guests to ‘Friday Night Flicks’ should arrive early to park and get a good spot on the event lawn,” said Portland Swan, marketing director for The PARC Group. “This series is a great way to enjoy a movie with your family on a Friday night, or to make new friends for the next showing.”

Moviegoers of all ages will enjoy this season’s classic and popular lineup of full-length feature films: October 30, Monsters vs. Aliens (PG), including trick-or-treating in the Community Park from 7 to 8 p.m.; November 6, Raiders of the Lost Ark (PG); November 13, Shrek (PG); November 20, Singin’ in the Rain (G); including dancing in the Community Park from 7 to 8 p.m.; and December 4, Elf (PG).
