The PARC Group Takes Five Top Honors Including “Developer of The Year” at 2008 Laurel Awards

Jacksonville, FL — April 24, 2009 — The PARC Group, master-developer of Nocatee, claimed an impressive five industry awards at the 2008 Laurel Awards. The event took place on Friday, April 3 in downtown Jacksonville.

Hosted by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA), the Laurel Awards recognizes outstanding achievement in building, design, sales and marketing in the First Coast development and homebuilding industry. Since 1994, the program has showcased the talents of the “Best of the Best.”

Aptly themed “Staying Alive, ” the 70’s-inspired event noted the resilience and continued dedication of Northeast Florida’s real estate industry during tough economic times. Each year, the event is the forum for fierce competition among local talent.

For the third consecutive year, The PARC Group was honored as the “Developer of the Year” for its visionary mixed-use concept of the Town of Nocatee. The company also received the Grand Award, which is presented to a NEFBA builder/developer member for the best overall product and marketing program, inclusive of product design, interior design and market approach.

The PARC Group also won three Laurel Awards for its superior marketing efforts: “Best Specialty Publication” for the Nocatee Residents Handbook; “Best Special Promotion” for the Nocatee Farmers Market; and “Best Direct Mail Piece” for the Nocatee Farmers Market Postcard.

Since its inception, the monthly Farmers Market has become a highly anticipated activity, regularly drawing 1,500 in attendance. Due to its growing popularity, The PARC Group has organized the open-air venue for another year. Visitors can enjoy this family- and pet-friendly atmosphere every third Saturday of the month. New market hours are from noon to 4 p.m., with plenty of curbside parking located off of Crosswater Parkway.

The Nocatee Farmers Market showcases an eclectic mix of vendor wares, including: fresh produce; baked goods; handcrafted jewelry; natural bath products; local studio artwork; a variety of artisan crafts; seasonal and exotic flora; tasty tapenades and gourmet coffees; children’s products and much more. Guests also can enjoy a variety of luncheon items and beverages.
