October 27, 2009: The St. Augustine Record - D.R. Horton/Aberdeen
As many satisfied homeowners can attest, D.R. Horton’s commitment to customer satisfaction remains its number one priority. To assist St. Johns County homebuyers in taking advantage of the current federal housing tax credit, D.R. Horton has made available an impressive inventory of “Quick Move-In” homes within its master-planned Aberdeen community.
“D.R. Horton has plenty of beautiful homes within Aberdeen that will be complete to close by November 30, just in time for buyers to get in on the tax credit,” said Lauren Eastman, sales manager for D.R. Horton Jacksonville. “Buyers, however, will need to take immediate action over the next week or so in order to beat the deadline.”
According to the First-Time Home Buyer Tax Credit website, located at www.federalhousingtaxcredit.com, qualified first-time homebuyers have an opportunity to receive an income tax credit of up to $8,000 – a credit that does not have to be repaid – for homes purchased before December 1, 2009. Buyers who have not owned a residence in the past three years also may be eligible for the tax credit. Guidelines stipulate an income limit of up to $75,000 for single buyers and up to $150,000 for joint and married couples. Visit the website for more details.
