Hunter is best known for her years as a professional journalist and editor, having worked for several news organizations in Washington and Florida including The Florida Times-Union. Her feature projects are regularly published in a variety of national trade periodicals, including Point of Beginning, Homebuyer and Professional Surveyor Magazine.

Hunter's diverse writing experience includes everything from politics and law to news and entertainment. Her stint as a sports reporter, however, was a career highlight. As a real estate freelance writer, Hunter brings her media experience, as well as a “Who’s Who” of media contacts, to Florida’s real estate industry for outstanding results.

Hunter’s public relations work at the Four Seasons Olympic Hotel in Seattle gave her valuable insight into the practice of five-diamond-level customer service. With a keen understanding of newsworthiness and the importance of strategic thinking, Hunter knows how to positively impact her clients’ bottom line.

In 2003, Hunter opened a boutique public relations firm accommodating residential, commercial and resort real estate clients, as well as those offering industry-related products and services. Her experience as a communications professional, most notably her thorough research, careful attention to detail and excellent promotional skills, has set the high standards of HVPR's award-winning team.

Hunter is an active member of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA), an organization dedicated to enhancing the public relations profession in Florida through ethical and standardized practices. She serves FPRA as a three-term representative of its Membership
Committee.

Hunter also is an Associate Member of the Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA), as well as its public relations committee. As a member of NEFBA's Sales and Marketing Council (SMC), Hunter has served on the committees for Special Events, Website/PR, Realtor Builder Luncheon and Laurel Awards. She also is a member of the Florida Association of Home Builders (FAHB) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).
